What it is

Reiki is a form of alternative therapy commonly referred to as energy healing. Originating from Japan, Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. A Reiki practitioner uses a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which "universal energy" is transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional and physical healing. Reiki treatments aim to improve the flow and balance of your energy to support healing and well-being. This practice is holistic, addressing the body, mind, and spirit, and is often used as a complementary therapy in conjunction with traditional medical treatments for a variety of conditions.

Our therapists are certified and attuned in Reiki healing. Jake is a Reiki Master, and Tonya is a Reiki 2 practitioner.

What it is not

Reiki is not a medical treatment and should not be seen as a substitute for professional medical care or therapy. It does not involve physical manipulation of the body, like massage, nor does it involve the use of drugs, herbal supplements, or any other substances. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice, and it does not require a specific spiritual belief for its effectiveness. It is not a cure for diseases or medical conditions, nor is it a method for diagnosis. Reiki practitioners do not make medical diagnoses or provide medical treatment.
